Richard F. O’Hare, CPCU, CSP, ARM, AMIM 

  • March, 1993-Present – President, The Risk Management Center, Inc.  Founded The Risk Management Center, Inc. to provide a wide variety of unbiased management advisory services in all areas of risk management and employee benefits.
  • May, 1988-March, 1993 – Vice President, Commercial Risk Consultants, Inc.  Management consulting and training in risk management techniques for a wide variety of clients in the private, non-profit and public sectors on a statewide and national basis.  Provided various services including risk management assessments, design of risk financing programs, safety activities review, claims resolution and employee benefits consulting.  Headed Richmond, Virginia office.
  • April, 1985-May, 1988 – Assistant Vice President, Alexander and Alexander of Va., Inc.  Responsibility included structuring, marketing and servicing a number of association sponsored self insurance programs.  Supervised reinsurance placement, underwriting and client service for the Virginia Municipal Liability Pool, the Virginia Municipal Group Self Insurance Association and the Virginia Transit Liability Pool as well as several workers’ compensation group self insurance associations.  Interfaced with program administrators, Boards of Trustees and individual clients.  Supervised a staff of five underwriters and assistants.  Worked with several fronted captive liability programs.
  • February, 1976-April, 1985 – Senior Risk Management Services Consultant, St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co.  Assisted a wide variety of clients in the identification and solution of risk management problems.  Extensive experience in professional liability, property, inland marine, general liability, fleet, crime and workers compensation exposures.  Provided services to a number of specialized industry groups such as hospitals, contractors, fleets and intercity passenger coach carriers.
